Very expensive, but easy to install
December 07, 2020|DougC, Dayton, Ohio

It took no time to install. It's a shame that the refrigerator is just 5 years old and already needed a new door gasket and the gasket was extremely expensive for what it is (just a rubber gasket)....but the new one seems to work just fine.

Wished for better info

Gasket should say the quantity. One would assume that if your fridge was on top with 2 doors, it would come with 2 gaskets. That was quite expensive for only one

Door gasket
August 07, 2018|fishenric, Nebr.

Fairly simple to install. But 2 days later I had a puddle of water on the floor. After cleaning it up I checked the freezer and had 1/8 inch of ice on the bottom. When I looked into the frig there was beads of water on the back wall. So I checked the seal I had just installed. I could see gaps between the seal and the frig. I had pressed the gasket in as far as it would seat when I installed it.-and didn't notice the gap.So I got my trusty putty knife out and forced the gasket out of the groove so it would make better contact with the frig. So far so good.

Deformed gasket
July 13, 2018|Divot, Sanford NC

Gasket was quick and easy to install. Problem was that it leaked because the gasket was deformed along about 12" length. Cold air leaked and iced up the drawer.. Waited 24 hours to see if it would fix itself but that did nothing. The magnets in the gasket seem weaker than OEM. I reinstalled the old gasket and returned the new one for lack of quality in the manufacturing process.
