Had the same problem someone else described as having with their Elite. The cancel button and red led flash to a beep. No other buttons were operable. This was a relatively easy replacement after I studied the part and found the two plastic wings that slide into the metal receptors on the door. As you push the panel into correct alignment ,you will hear a click from the tabs on both sides locking in to their receptors. Also when reattaching the door stainless skin, you must engage it with flanges on both sides and on the lower portion of the door frame to keep it in position as you replace the screws at the top first and work your way down.

My dishwasher had an issue where the cancel button would flash and the dishwasher wouldn't start. Based on some research I decided it was probably the control panel. It arrived a day later than expected but still only three business days after I ordered it. The installation was straightforward. It did require a non-standard screwdriver head, but that is probably provided when the dishwasher is purchased and I've misplaced it. The most difficult part of the install was putting the dishwasher front/door back on. Overall a good experience and I would recommend DIY.
