SUMP

Easy to find the part and was shipped to me quickly. There wasn't a lot out there on how to install it, but we got it figured out.

Not Rocket Science

I did install a new one however I may not have needed to. On taking it apart I found a small hole in the rim that dripped water on the pump motor and ruined the motor. Looks like the hole is from the factory. After installing the new motor and sump I put J B Weld on the hole working great no leaks.

Installed very easily.

Thanks to some online videos, the installation was less than 30 minutes. The gaskets/seals were all soft so no aging issues. [This is not a new dishwasher] It would have been great if the shipping packaging was a little better. the box arrived completely open. I was glad I had some hose clamps on hand because the part didn't come with any.

No Leaks

The original problem was the drain pump and diverter motor were bad and the seal at the diverter motor shaft was leaking. Ordered the sump and the first one leaked at the shaft seal as well. They quickly sent a replacement and this one seems to working great. My wife is now happly.

That did the trick

Only problem I was having with my Kenmore dishwasher was it leaking from the rubber seal on the botttom of the assembly. I wish I could have just replaced that. Regardless, spending $50 is so much better than $700. I needed a little bit more help getting the sump and seal assembly in place from my son pushing down hard on it in order for me to get it locked in place from underneath. Other than that, it was a one man job and I got it done on a weeknight and was back to machine washing dishes!
