Dishwasher Pump Motor (replaces W10645659, W11113839) W10894668

With the help of a You Tube video, I learned how easily this part could be installed. It took about 30 minutes and the dishwasher was up an running great.

The installation went smooth and easy. Instructions are a little hard to find

I'm glad it was easy to install because I tried it out for leaks and found it leaked on the pump housing and had to take it back off and return it. It had been damaged during shipping.

Pump arrived in damaged packaging, and wiring harness receptacle locking tab was broken off. Did not notice until the harness plug would not stay in place. Pump was already installed, and arrived twodays late, so I made it work by wedging electrical tape into the plug to keep it in place. For a heavy, and expensive, component, the packing consisted of only a pink sheet of plastic. No padding whatsoever. Pump has been working for the past week, so I guess my fix-on-the-fly worked.

You sent a heavy part with with almost no packaging/padding. It was broken on arrival.

I've never had problems with parts ordered from Sears Parts before...until now. The dishwasher pump motor I ordered and installed did not work. It was broken upon my receiving it (though not in any obvious way). I installed it and the dishwasher would work.

I scheduled a repair guy from Sears to look at it. He said that it had been installed correctly, but it looked like it was probably an electrical wiring problem...not with me but with the manufacturer. I was very disappointed and had to pay almost $400 for a new part, installation, and other fees.

If the part had worked fine when I received it, none of this would have been necessary. I'll be contacting Sears about returning the broken part for a refund, but there is no way to know that I'll be granted one.
