Perfect fit

Purchased this to replace the glass top on my GE slide in JS630SF4SS. It’s an expensive part to replace, however, still less than getting a new range when ours is still in great condition. I did a lot of price searching for this part. Sears was one of the lower prices available, maybe could have gotten it for a little less elsewhere but they were the most responsive and helpful with customer service, I felt confident that they knew what they were doing and they guaranteed the part would fit or they’d pay for the return shipping. Shipping was super fast, the glass top arrived in perfect condition. There were no instructions on how to install it. My husband and I figured it out as we took the old one off. It took about an hour and we saved some money by not having someone do it for us. I know not everyone would be able to do that. I think this glass top is better than the original we had, there was a slight warp to the front right burner that would wobble my pans when cooking. This one is just perfect. Besides the frustrations of breaking the old one and having to replace it, I am glad to have this new glass top as it’s better than the original.

Great OEM part !

Great oem part. Would have been nice if there were some instructions on how to remove old cooktop. Those original instructions were buried inside the unit once i got it apart after hours of failed attempts. Other than that perfect

NOT A STROLL IN THE COUNTRY

Received cook top schedule. Well packed. Removal was a little difficult as I had never done before. No directions included for anything. make sure you document and take photos as taken apart. My son helped greatly as he is mechanic, he diagrammed as top was removed. Even though this is a specialty item, my opinion, over priced. Well in closing, top looks good, works good and back in its spot. Long time Sears customer.

Not original part

Looks good, packaged good, came quickly, but, wrong part. Submitted all info, including make & model #. the back of the cook top has a metal tab on each side and no lip to slide on top of the back of the counter. This was a major obstacle. I tried to make it fit the best I could but it is still visible. Not worth taking apart and re-ordering. If I weren't selling my house, I would definitely return it.
