This is probably the 3rd valve I've had to replace on my Maytag stove. The old valve broke in the open position in this case, so the entire stove had to be shut off. Momma wasn't happy, so if I can offer any advice to buyers it's to buy 2 and keep one as a spare so you're not down for a week like I was.
