Dishwasher Door Spring WP8270182

Easy to change springs and cables. Project took less than 15 minutes.

The spring was not the broken part, it was a plastic piece in the assembly. This was my first DIY appliance repair. I did not realize how easy the repair was, I should have pulled the unit out before ordering parts and seeing that I didn't need the spring, just the door balance assembly. I am going to replace both spring and door balance assembly now that I have both. I checked manufacturer repair videos on line, but not the right one. Who would know that my dishwasher was made by a competitor, and the repair parts are different?

It looks easy enough on line but when we got the door apart we found that the springs are fine, it is a string cable that has broken. Can we return the springs for the part that we need?
