If your dishwasher is underperforming and leaving dishes unclean. This is often the problem. This piece is one of the most important parts of your dishwasher. I've seen online "how-to" videos where folks clean all around the cover for this par, but don't go the extra step to open the cover. It's one more screw. This is where most of your washing machine problems start. It's an easy, inexpensive fix.
