Replacing the control console on your Reebok elliptical
- Remove the mounting screws from the console bottom.
- Pull the control console up to access the wire harness plug on the bottom of the console. Release the wire harness plug locking tab and disconnect the console wire harness.
- Position the new control console near the top of the console mounting frame and connect the console wire harness to the new control console.
- Reinstall the console mounting screws to secure the new control console to its frame.
- Install batteries in the new control console.
What to do when the console won't power up on your Reebok elliptical
Dead batteries, a failed power supply, bad electrical connections or a faulty console can prevent the elliptical console from turning on. If your elliptical is powered by batteries, change the batteries to fix a dead console. Replace the batteries during routine elliptical maintenance to keep the console powered up. If the console doesn't light up after replacing the batteries, you'll likely need to replace the console.
If your elliptical uses an electrical outlet for the power supply, unplug the elliptical and check the power cord. Reconnect power cord wires if disconnected. Replace the power cord if it's damaged. If the power cord is intact and properly connected to the console, then you'll probably need to replace the console.
