Easy to install- did the trick

The motor quit with no warning. I wanted it to be a thermal fuse, but it had continuity. Online troubleshooting guides indicated it was probably the timer. I opened up the old timer and found that it had shorted out. Two of the leads were welded together and the inside was all burnt loking. This new part arrived in about a week (during Christmas and New Year) and installed in 5 minutes. Take a photo of the old timer's wiring and only switch one set of wires at a time between old and new. Dryer is back up and running fine. A $100 part saved me from having to spend $600 on a new dryer.

Backordered even though it was supposedly in stock

We desperately needed the part quickly and ordered because it was supposedly in stock with fast shipping. On the day the part was due, we received an email saying that the part was backordered with no ETA. We cancelled the order, which took 2 phone calls, and then ordered the part from someone else and received it in 3 days. Getting credited for the cancelled purchase took another call. The the part was shipped to us after all, 4 weeks after we ordered and 3 weeks after we cancelled. All of the customer service people spoke such bad English that it was very difficult to communicate. They didn't seem to understand English well either. Overall, really disappointing considering the good experiences that we've had in the past.
