Thermal cut-off fuse kit 279816 shuts off the heat if the dryer overheats. The kit includes the thermal cut-off fuse, high-limit thermostat part number 3390291 and a jumper wire.
Unplug the dryer before installing this part. Wear work gloves to protect your hands.

I am SO thankful for the repair!
I was on my last "try" to fix my dryer. I had replaced the thermal sensor (first try), the heating element (second try) and finally the cut off fuse kit. IT WORKED! I have a working dryer!

Part works, but the terminals were damaged on arrival. Shipping also took a week longer than estimated. Order it from Amazon instead

Use online YouTube technical videos
Any DIY'ers would be wise to utilize the YouTube instructional videos. The directions that came with my product were vague at best but I had already been instructed, via online videos, to my specific make and model replacement procedures and it WAS a breeze. 25 minutes.
