Thermal cut-off fuse kit 279816 shuts off the heat if the dryer overheats. The kit includes the thermal cut-off fuse, high-limit thermostat part number 3390291 and a jumper wire.

Unplug the dryer before installing this part. Wear work gloves to protect your hands.

Use online YouTube technical videos

Any DIY'ers would be wise to utilize the YouTube instructional videos. The directions that came with my product were vague at best but I had already been instructed, via online videos, to my specific make and model replacement procedures and it WAS a breeze. 25 minutes.

Easy to install.

The kit came with a thermal cut-off and a fuseable link, the fuseable link was the correct part but the thermal cut-off was not the same part number. The link was the part that I needed and worked fine.

Easy to order and install

Ordered by telephone easily with exact part number from online browsing. Pictures made it easy to compare with old part. It took 20 minutes to install. Dryer now heats like normal.
