item arrived in a torn package. very poor package. item had a broken part. it did not affect the part but still. we were able to install it and now our machine works

Fits perfectly

It was not what I would call easy to install but not terribly difficult either. Hardest part is the hose clamps. Washer works like new again!

didn't need this part

Since the customer service rep incorrectly diagnosed my problem by phone, and refused to use the Kenmore Connect feature that my appliance uses for proper diagnosis, I did not need this part. Had I waited for their installation tech to come out, it would have been 3 weeks without a washing machine, and I'd have a new drain pump I didn't even need -- and would have had to spend more on a proper repair. Thank goodness I called someone else for the right repair instead. I have sent the drain pump in for return, but have yet to see a credit for it.

to install was quite easy, maybe because am a bit handy. but over all not complicated.

Easy to install

My pump broke on Wednesday nite. Went on the Sears website, ordered the part. Arrived at 2 pm Friday afternoon. Machine was up and running in forty five minutes.

Overall experience

I'm an auto technician so the repair was easy. Product arrived with some pieces broken off, did not affect functionality but was not impressed.

Kenmore Elite drain pump replacement

The purchase from Sears was easy and the Sears representative was wonderful to work with on obtaining the correct part. Have to dismantle the washing machine and the location is very tight to get in and work on the machine which is a negative. Otherwise great experience and the machine works and is quiet like brand new!
