Took about 4 hours start to finish. Most of it was finding source of water leak. I first thought it was bottom hose attached to boot. Once area was cleaned up I found a puncture in the actual boot. Recommend purchase of spring pliers which added in the removal and installation of the boot.

Lg door boot

I purchased the door boot to repair a washer I had gotten on the cheap lg 5.2 cubic ft washer wm8000hva the washer had a small tear in the gasket that didn't leak unless you wash a medium to large load it worked great the installation is easy but not as easy as it looks on the YouTube. To make it as easy as possible you can buy the generic tool the takes the metal bands off instead of using screwdriver and pliers and risk tearing or puncturing the new door boot all in all it took about 45 minutes to do it. If you are handy at fixing things you are beyond capable of replacing this boot

Look for YouTube videos on installation process and it is pretty easy. I would recommend getting the spring clamp plyers as they will make installation much easier. Overall it took about 30 minutes and had no issues.

Perfect for Sears Kenmore Elite washer model 79641072311. Dish soap helped it fit right on. Spring expansion tool made removal and installation fairly easy. Video I saw showed hose at the bottom, but didn't show hoses at 3 and 9 o'clock positions, or at the top. The door boot holes fit the hose attachments and "fittings" perfectly.

It is a must to have the spring expansion tool, otherwise you will struggle for hours removing and re-installing the two spring clamps on the boot. You can pick one up on Amazon, under $15. The repair quoted from Sears $490, the boot, spring expansion tool and my free labor; $120

Fairly straight forward install. Took about an hour. Do recommend have some good spring expander pliers. You can do it with out them, front spring wire is more difficult without them.
