Easy to install, and fixed the problem!

I was getting a "uo" error on my 2009 Frigidaire Gallery dishwasher. I looked up a tutorial video on taking apart and cleaning out the vent fan assembly, but that didn't fix it. Looked like the seal was just too worn to actually function properly. This part did the trick. Getting the dishwasher in and out of the cabinets was the hardest part. This part was as simple as unplugging the old assembly, and plugging this one in. It just has one simple screw cap to hold it in. So glad my dishwasher is back to working like new again!

Part came in faster than expected, easy install

My husband installed this pretty quickly, although the first time we ran the dishwasher, the part inside came off because he didn't have it reattached correctly. But he fixed that and dishwasher runs great again!

Easy to install

Simple repair you can do yourself. Sliding out the dishwasher and putting it back takes the most time of the entire job. I've replaced two of these in the last two years. The foam rubber gasket is the component that fails. It gets compressed and no longer provides a good seal. It's unfortunate you have to buy the entire mechanism instead of merely being able to buy a foam rubber gasket. If you want to try to save some money, perhaps try to manufacture your own foam rubber gasket yourself. It's made of 1/8 inch soft closed-cell foam rubber.

Save money on this easy fix

My dishwasher repairman quoted me a price almost double, padding the cost of repair plus labor he would charge. Once you unscrew the bezel inside the dishwasher, this piece connects easily and removed the 'up' error and gave us back a perfectly working dishwasher again.

Easy to install... harder to get to

The part itself was easy to install. Twist one fitting to release the malfunctioning part, unplug some wires, put the new part in place, plug it in, and twist the fitting back on. That's all once you get to it. It is attached to the outside of the dishwasher on the top rear corner. The hardest part of the process was unhooking the dishwasher and pulling it out of the cabinet and then putting it back in place.
