Door seal W11196317 seals the gap between the opening to the dishwasher tub and the outer edge of the door.
After installing the door seal, shut the dishwasher door and leave the door closed for several hours to properly seat the new door seal.

Not quite a perfect fit.
The gasket wants to come out occasionally, not sure what to do, I just make sure it's in before starting. A little extra work but it works, no leaks.

Need instructions
The seal came without any installation instructions. It can be installed incorrectly. Make sure that the wider side, from the front of the seal to the back, goes against the sides and the top. Also, loop the seal in half, mark the center of the loop, and start inserting the seal with the mark in the center of the top of the dishwasher. That way, both sides will be of equal length.

Kenmore Dishwasher Door Seal
This is the exact OEM match. I recommend this one. I had ordered one from another site. wasn't the same. It didn't work. water leaked. I ordered this one from Sears Parts direct and it was the exact same one as on this dishwasher. worked well. no leaks.
