It took me a while to install, but that's because I didn't realize there's a big hole in the bottom of the washing machine. I'm skipping the obvious steps (remove the washer, cut off all water and unplug the machine).
- Drain all water from the machine (including the filter screen.
- Take off the back plate and top so that the output hose and manifold can be accessed and removed.
- Remove the screw holding the plastic manifold in, the vacuum breaker line, and output hose from the back of the machine.
- Lay the machine on it's back (careful to not break off the retention clips).
- Utilizing the open bottom, use pliers or your hand to remove the hose retaining clip on the input hose attached to the pump and wiggle loose.
Install in reverse order.
If I had done it this way, it would have been 15-20 minutes (not counting uninstalling the washer or reinstalling it).
