Easy to install after figuring out the wiring orde

We had to figure out the wiring reinstall because Kenmore had redesigned a new replacement part. I called the technician and they didn’t have a clue. Finally figured it out myself.

Very simple-easy to install.

The hardest part for me was finding a screw driver in my tool box.

Not easy but not hard either

I watched a You Tube video first to get some pointers. The task took about 30 mins from start to finish. Make sure to pay close attention to how the wires are connected to the element infinite switch. I'm pretty sure I saved a couple of hundred dollars on someone coming to install the part.

This switch for DUAL-size burner control ONLY.

This was for a dual-size front electric burner on a Kenmore slide-in range (circa 2009). The smaller-sized burner worked erratically, however it was clear (from the intermittent “element on” pilot light) that this was due to the switch control, not the element itself. This specific switch is ONLY to control the dual-sized element. Figuring out access to a front mounted control panel was a little tricky: Along with removal of four underside screws just inside the oven door, ALL of the burner switch knobs’ mounting rings (below the actual knobs) must be removed to allow access to the underside of the control panel for switch removal and wiring access. This job is not for novice DIY’s.
