I only wish there were additional instructions on how to change the switch. I removed the door screws for nothing.

Replacement on older kenmore range
Once I figured out how the switch cover plate was removed,it simply came down to reconnecting the wires to the L1,L2,H1,H2,P1 terminals and positioning the switch correctly so off was in correct position.As a side note switch dials only go on one way grooves dictate that.Easy Peasy for experienced.

Stove Burner Control
These controls are fairly easy to install: remove one wire at a time and place that wire on the new control in the same place. Each terminal is identified by letters and numbers making chore easy if you pay attention. The bad thing about these controls is that they do not last very long; have had to replace each of the four burner controls several times and they cost $40 to $50 each. Not made to last, but you have no choice unless you replace the entire range.
