PERFECT FIT
The motor was a direct replacement for the old one. The included screws were a plus as the old ones were a bit rusty. The gear teeth meshed easily and only slight pressure was needed to align the holes for the screws.

Can't install this part without accompanying part
The motor arrived on time but have not installed it yet as I also wanted to replace the cam that the motor drives. The web site said when I ordered it that the cam is in stock and I called customer support but I have received no information about the status of the order other than the email acknowledging that the order was placed and the part is in stock.

Replacement Motor
The new motor arrived on time, was simple to install, and performed well for the first cycle. Spendy part, but what isn't theses days. Returned my old water softener back to new condition.

Simple to install
My Kenmore water softener wasn't working, so I determined that I would try to fix it on my own. As a non-handy person, this was an interesting proposition. But after diagnosing the problem (frozen and cracked housing on the motor gave it away), I ordered this part and fixed my softener. Installation took less than 5 minutes, and I was on my way. Thankful this was available for me and I was able to get it quickly and timely.
