Lawn tractor blade engagement cable 946-05124A is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part that fits some Craftsman 247-series and MTD 13A-series lawn tractors.

Blade engagement cable 946-05124A pulls and pivots the belt idler pulley to tighten the belt and spin the cutting blades.

This blade engagement cable includes the spring hook, cable and cable sheath. The overall length is approximately 40 inches.

Replaces original lawn tractor blade engagement cable parts 746-05124 and 946-05124.

I entered my mowers model number and searched for the blade engagement cable. Ordered the cheapest cable on the list thinking they're all the same. old cable is 65" long. cable i received was 35".

This is the 4th replacement cable I've bought in just a little over 2 years. These things are made incredibly poorly, and have no warranty, but they have you trapped, since it is not like you can get a better one somewhere else.
