Bad information from service representative

The service repair person came to the house to assess the issue with the range. It was determined the ignitor was the problem. The price was too expensive to repair, I asked for the representative to write down the part number. I ordered the wrong part based on the information he provided. Will I be reimbursed the shipping and tax when the company receives the returned part?

fixed the gas supply problem

The old ignitor still worked but not well enough to make the gas valve open properly with gas smells and not getting up to temperature

Range oven burner igniter

It's not hard but it is time consuming. If you decided to install this yourself I would have so lubricant in hand. The screws were rusted and had the apply a lubricant so I wouldn't snap them off.

Perfect fit

I had a gas smell at times when first using the oven. The ignite was not heating up fast enough, allowing gas to escape. This igniter was a perfect fit for the broiler. Remember there is a different one for the bake. The two are not interchangeable as the electrical connections are different.

Yes, it was fairly easy to install.

The install took a bit longer because the existing mounting screws were stripped.

Part didn't match my model number

The part ended up being a completely different part for the stainless steel model of my model number. I paid extra for fast shipping. When I ordered the part, it said Òin stockÓ, then I got an email saying my part would be delayed due to supply problems. They charged me the full fast shipping fee. Once I received the part and realized it didn't fit, I went back and did some research and found out the SS model number was actually different, despite my appliance number not being labeled as such. Advice: check to make sure your SS model doesn't have a different subset of parts. My model should have had a number 1 added to the end of the model number, mine does not.

Very easy to install

after checking out a couple of YouTube videos, I figured this was a quick and easy solution. I was right. Less than 10 minutes, and only tool I used was an electric screwdriver - two bolts. The wiring connector was a snap off, then snap on the new one.
