This part has been replaced 4 times... the only issue with this machine, the last 2 were the upgraded version. Seems like the weak link... i guess the lid lock is a safety feature to keep small kids out, but iwashers didnt have lid locks for 80 yrs ......

Whirlpool Elite Washer
The product was an exact match and the website was helpful on fixing the problem. Thank you Sears for that. The only thing I did not like was the fact I could not get the product sooner, other than that I highly recommend buying from sears.

It did the job
My two-year-old, top-load, Kenmore Elite washer was flashing an F5 code and making a horrible noise. The manual said it was related to the lid. We bought the part, installed it, and the code disappeared. The repair person (non-Sears) said our water pump was also bad. He replaced it and now my washer works!
