My husband is a fix it kind of guy
My husband is a do it yourself kind of guy. Our frig water valve wore out. The first clue was water all over the kitchen floor. We had this happen once before so he was pretty sure right off what the problem was. Our frig is a Kenmore elite over 15 years old. Anyways he got the parts manual out & went on line & ordered the part. The price had tripled since the first time. But the ordering process was easy we found the part right away & it was in stock. The part arrived within 7 to 10 days. We were also able to track the shipment. Parts Direct is a great company to deal with. We've ordered from them in the past great CS. We saved their web site as a favorite.

Not hard to install
If you are at all handy this part is fairly strait forward to install. Obviously shut the water supply off and unplug the fridge. To remove and reinstall the part you must take off the small back panel to which it is attached. Also within the polyethylene water line that feeds the fridge there is an anti-kink. Be sure this does not extend into the manifold of the unit being replaced or it will impede water flow.
