Washer Belt
The washer was making a terrible noise when it would reach the spin stage. So, I took the route of least resistance and started with the belt replacement. Replacement was a piece of cake with the right part and a YouTube video. With repair cost skyrocketing, I appreciate Sears parts which saved me a stack of money

Simple Job for the DIY
Very easy repair. All you have to do is remove the front of the washer (2 Phillips screws). Locate the belt tensioner and push on it with your thumb to release the tension on the belt. Slide the belt off of the main (big) pulley and slide it out from under the tub. Then reverse procedure to install.
