It fixed my problem.
It fixed my problem and fairly easy to install. The last pump was installed by a so called professional he put way to much sealer which caused the pump to fail after a few years. Plus it cost twice as much you don't need sealer if you clamp it right.

Exact part needed and was easy to install
The repair was easy. Although new wiring came with the drain pump, I did not use it. The existing wiring was fine. The only issue that I had was a small leak that originated from the small hose running from the drain pump to the drain hose. When removing the small hose from the old pump, it seems I heard and felt that there might have been an adhesive on it. If so, that explains why it leaked when I reconnected it (the adhesive seal was broken). The fix was simple. I purchased some Loctite Clear Silicone (waterproof sealant) from Home Depot, and put a small amount on the inside of the small hose (used the tip of my finger to spread it around evenly), and then reconnected it to the new pump (it sets in about 45 minutes). My washer is now fixed (i.e. it drains and spins) and has no leaks!

Easy to install.
Installing the parts is a snap. The hardest thing to do is removing the old parts. If you're gonna use the same host; you have to be careful not to damage the old host. Otherwise it's very easy to replace.

Kenmore Elite Washer Pump Motor
Thanks to Sears for including the wiring harness for the washer water pump. The harness was the problem (one lead no continuity) and old pump was still okay (2010 vintage machine). I installed the new pump and harness and should be good for another few years. I did not install the hoses that I ordered and the old ones seemed to seal against leakage (only 5 washing batches so far) using clear silicone rubber.
