Probe is 2.5", squeeze areas are a short
It has the same length as the original probe, tip to tip, with a longer flexible portion and shorter probe. The thick areas on either end, for grasping, are on the short side. That's not good, since it's already tricky to handle the probe when it's hot. The silicone housing is black, which makes it a little bit hard to find in the drawer. It does the job, but all in all it would have been a better deal to go with the newer, more expensive model (which is red and has a photo on the website).
