Causes for Replacement

The original OEM part tends to need replacement when the pin activating water flow into the filter wears down and can no longer be opened (pushed up) by screwing on the water filter or bypass cap. Don't replace this part until you have verified that restricted water flow isn't being caused by a clogged filter, sediments in the line or filter head, or a defective selenoid controlled water valve in lower rear of frig.

Not easy to install but patience helps

No instructions included, but a YouTuber really helped out. Getting the screws out of the old filter head and getting them back in takes a longer hex driver than I had...but I managed. Worst part is getting in the small space behind the Frig, between the enclosed cabinets which was so close to the kitchen Island. It helps to have another pair of hands nearby to help maneuver the Frig.

Pretty straightforward install

Not sure why this had 4 wrenches. Simple to install. Need teflon tape for the threads and it's a bit tough to get the screws out from inside the fridge but otherwise a 15 minute job. Glad I did it myself.
