Lawn tractor starter solenoid
This part, along with the excellent videos on the Parts Direct website, solved my problem. The solenoid on my model is positioned awkwardly, but I managed. Part was inexpensive and promptly delivered.

You must keep a diagram to install properly
If was somewhat difficult to put the solenoid back in the proper place. but the new part worked great

Defective part
Be careful! I was Sent a ÒnewÓ selenoid, i hooked it up properly, but it was defective. Fused open and smoked the starter. My 20$ part is now costing me hundreds, if not a new mower. Very disappointed.
