Oil pan assembly

Installed on a Craftsman 4cycle weed eater. Part bolted up perfectly and has metal paws for the starter rope instead of the plastic ones.

Just needed fan part

Didn’t really need the oil pan but since it was my only option I replaced everything and it works better than ever, took less than 20 minutes to put together. This was the part I needed. New one came with oil pan attached and new gaskets.

Easy to install

Installing the Oil Pan was easy and took about 15 to 20 minutes. The weed-eater uses Torx screws throughout the entire assembly. It requires removing the pull starter (four screws) then removing the six screws holding the oil pan in place and removing the oil fill spout (another Torx screw). There is a cam that the turns the crank for starting the weed-eater that needs to be lined up but that was easy. Give it a test pull when you think you have it lined up before bolting the oil pan in place. You should be able to feel resistance from the piston on the compression stroke. (Remember to disconnect the spark plug wire - just in case.) Reassemble in reverse order of disassembly and you're done. You will lose all the oil when you remove the oil pan so be sure to refill it.

I ordered this part because the cooling fan lost a blade and one of the dogs that engages the the pull-starter broke off as well. The cooling fan is pressed on and not replaceable on its own.
