Part needed, Lawn mower blade adaptor
You cannot instal what you cannot get.The old part was easy to remove, so the new one should be easy to instal.The part needed was inexpensive, about 5.00 dollars.plus tax and shipping a total of little 20.00 dollars.

Not entirely easy, but easier than I thought.
I assumed to be harder to install than it was, borrowed a puller, but the adapter fit was not as tight as I expected, so WD40 and a tug or two from the puller was all it took, and the new blade adapter went into place using only the mower blade and bolt to pull it down.

Adapter experienced material failure.
Part failed to hold mower blade in place. Owner could see where adapter part fractured allowing blade, adapter , and associated hardware to depart lawn mower. Actual repair very simple. Every year, when I have the blade sharpened, you take blade and adapter off , then reinstall.
