The microwave is only six years old and the armature for the door broke. The outside wasn't stable. I stabilized the cover. It works again and saved $170 for a new microwave.

Resolving Door slamming on a Microwave.

This was easy to install as the black plastic door interior piece covering this just pry it out with a screwdriver. However, in my case the cause of the problem was the supporting metal bracket (contains many switches) isn't stable enough for the bottom hook to activate everything. Once I braced that part everything worked well, however when I put the black plastic door interior piece on it was no longer long enough...
