This is a direct replacement cable. Installation took longer than anticipated. Had to furnish some of my own hardware.

Not an exact replacement.
The new cable assembly was not exactly like the old broken one that I took off of my mower. The cable assembly pictured is an exact replacement but that's now what I received. The difference is the way it mounts to the handle. The original part snaps on and off. To mount the cable assembly I received I had to buy a bolt and and a locking nut to secure the cable to the upper handle. Once this was done it worked perfectly. It was and easy fix but I had to make a trip to the hardware store to but the nut and bolt.
