This parts dept is awesome! Needed an older part and viola!
Ty ty ty i. Have an older kenmore. It's above the stove. When the door hinge broke yikes! I searched all over the internet looking for this older part. Bought one first and guess what it did not fit! But yall came thru with the exact one. Popped it in the door and now we have our microwave back!! Again ty so much for your quick delivery.

Replaced broken door latch with new one
I ordered the latch from the part number written on the latch that I broke. The web site said this latch was not for my microwave but the photo showed it was identical to my broken latch. The web site recommended a different latch that looked different from my latch so I didn't order it. The latch was on and the microwave was working in less than 5 minutes. A youtube video showed me how to remove the door, take out the broken latch and install the one I ordered.

A 15 minute job installing the latch. Most appliance repair jobs are rather easy if you're some what mechanically inclined.

Quick fix to problem
This item was delivered fast. It took a total of 5 minutes to repair. Make sure you have the spring bc this part doesn't come with it. I saved our old one just in case.

Easy
It was very easy to install. I hooked the spring to the door latch and then hooked the other end to the metal hook. It took a few times to get it to catch the metal hook but the whole think only took a couple of minutes. I'm so glad I decided to make the repair my self.
