• Release the bail handle to turn off the lawn mower. Wait until the cutting blade stops and remove the safety key.
• Reach down between the mower handle arms and raise the rear discharge door to the vertical position and hold the door up.
• Remove the mulch insert from the discharge chute.
• Grasp the grass catcher by its handle and connect the grass catcher to the rear of the mower deck.
• Release the rear discharge door.

• Shut off the mower and let the blade come to a complete stop. Remove the safety key and pull out the batteries or unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
• Turn the mower over and clean out any grass clippings that have accumulated on the underside of the deck and in the discharge chute.
• Open the battery compartment and clean debris and grass clippings out of the battery compartment on cordless models.
• Clean grass clippings and debris off of wheels and axles.
• Wipe down the mower with a damp cloth. Use only mild soap and water to clean stubborn stains or deposits off the mower body. Allow the mower to dry completely before using it again.
