Replacing the blade on your Makita table saw

• Unplug the table saw’s power cord from the wall outlet.
• Loosen the blade-tilt locking knob and tilt the blade to a 90-degree angle. Raise the blade to its highest cutting position. Push the red button on the blade guard and lift off the blade guard assembly.
• Insert a slot screwdriver into the large hole in the table and pry out the table insert.
• Use the 2 blade wrenches supplied with the table saw to remove the blade arbor nut. Remove the outer flange washer and saw blade from the arbor.
• Position the new blade on the arbor and reinstall the flange washer and arbor nut. Firmly tighten the arbor nut using the 2 blade wrenches supplied with the table saw.
• Reassemble the table saw.

Electrical safety precautions to follow when using your Makita table saw

• The power saw plug must match the receptacle on the electrical wall outlet. Never modify the table saw's power cord plug in any manner. Don't use an adapter plug with an earth grounded table saw.
• Don't expose the table saw to rain or wet conditions. Water entering the table saw will increase the risk of electric shock.
• Check the condition of the power cord before using the table saw. Repair damaged wires in the power cord or replace the power cord if it's damaged before using the table saw.
• When operating the table saw outdoors, use an extension cord rated for outdoor use to prevent the chance of electrical shock.
• If operating the table saw in a damp location or around a water source, use a GCFI protected power supply.
