It was not terribly difficult to install but did require a couple attempts due to the lack of slack in a wire on a connecting piece.
There was two small differences between the replacement and the original. The original included a flap the pushed down when inserting the lint filter. The flap has a remined on it to insert filter. However, I see where leaving it out makes it more obvious something is missing.
The second difference is a fuzzy strip is not included. Maybe it is no longer needed, but I took the one of the original. It had enough adhesion to apply it to the replacement.
One thing that shocked me was the amount of built up lint. Honestly, I would recommend this entire area be more simply removed for cleaning. My wife reported that some clothes did not dry well the other day and I am certain it was due to the amount of lint trapped in this area.
The included photo does not show the amount of lint further down that clogged the shop vac.
