Special details: Door seal W11177741 is 71 inches long and can stretch up to 75 inches. Warm the seal by soaking in hot tap water or with a hair dryer on low heat to help the seal stretch more easily.
This door seal (part number W11177741) is for dishwashers.
Door seal W11177741 seals the gap between the opening to the dishwasher tub and the outer edge of the door.
After installing the door seal, shut the dishwasher door and leave the door closed for several hours to properly seat the new door seal.

Questionable
Dishwasher leaking around door diagnosed as a failed door gasket. Ordered this one but leaks still occur at bottom corners. Gasket seems to be a quality product otherwise. Solution is a new dishwasher.

Wrong Part
When I ordered this part through customer service, I told the representative that I had previously purchased the part from another vendor and found that it did not fit. The rep assured me that the part would be appropriate for my dishwasher. But it is the exact same part that I received from the other vendor so it is still not a good fit. And it was significantly more expensive from Sear Parts Direct.

Dishwasher Gasket
I installed the gasket and I still have water leaking out the bottom sides of my dishwasher.

Easy to install
There were no directions with the product but a video on you tube told how to do it. It was easy..After letting it "set" for 2 hours after installation, I started the ubit and it worked fine, however, 3 days alter the door again leaked. I took it out, washed it and reinstalled it. So far it is working good.

Not quite as long as the original
Easy to follow, online video but the seal was approximately 1.3 inches shorter than the original seal. The machine doesn't leak and the problem seems to be resolved.

Easy to install but seems to be 2" shorter.
Removal of the old gasket, cleaning the track and insertion of new is much easier when done simultaneously, a few inches at a time. A brief instructions on how to do it could have enhanced the process for a self-doer like me.
