Installation was easy!

My snow blower drive shaft assembly wore out to where I had to replace it. It broke down during Friday's snow storm. I decided on Sunday night to place an order for a new replacement drive shaft. The next storm was Wednesday and I used standard shipping and part wasn't t arrive Thursday. Come Tuesday, the part was at my door! I was amazed! I jumped on the install. I removed bottom pan. Removed both wheels. Removed side covers and bearings on drive shaft. Removed the e-clips and hubs with planetary gears. The shaft came right out, did same procedure to new one and it went right in place so easily. Directions say 1 to 1-1/2 hours. The whole job took about 45 mins. The shaft assembly fit perfect and snow blower works like a charm. Thank you Sears!

I bought this as a replacement for a worn out drive shaft replacement. The assembly was all there, but it was evident that it had been stored on a shelf for years. I had to take apart both planetary gear assemblies as the original grease had completely dried up like a stiff paste. I had to solvent clean all the parts, re-grease and reassemble. If someone used as delivered, the part would shortly fail. It was a wonder the part arrived at all. It was late arriving and all shipping information adn the shipping label were completely gone.
