New gasket Does not fit

I ordered the proper size for my French door refrigerator from Kenmore. Pulling out the old one and replace it with the new one was extremely simple. However after proper installation, the gasket allows freezing air to escape. Not a tight fit at all! Frustrated and a little angry because that's why I replaced the old gasket in the first place!

The gasket itself is easy to install. It has a retaining edge that basically press-fits into the groove in your freezer door. Before you install it, though, do follow the hair dryer instructions to relax the seal and return it to its original shape. You might need to lay it flat on a table after heating, holding down the seal with some books for weight. You will need to ensure that the seal is completely seated in the groove.

Easy to install and it took 15 minutes once wrinkles removed. Only negative was that there were a lot of wrinkles in the gasket. Using manufacturer's advice, a hair dryer was used to remove wrinkles which took about 10 minutes.
