Simple to install
My wife said that this was the easiest fix yet. The new spring fit into a groove that was already there. With a couple of taps with a hammer and the plate was seated. Recommend attaching the cable to the spring prior to installing the spring, but it is easy enough to attach even if you do not.

Easier than I expected!
I was expecting this to be rather involved, but it turned out not so bad. The DW had to be uninstalled and laid on its back, but that wasn't too difficult.

Worked Perfectly!
I ordered this part for a Bosch dishwasher (model: SHX68T55UC/02). The part was easy to install and was a much better design than the original part which failed on the left side. I replaced both springs as recommended and it has worked like a champ so far!

It worked!
The part was not an exact fit for my Thermadore washer as the tabs on the spring stuck out slightly. Sawed the tabs off with a hacksaw and fit great. Replacing was pretty easy. Hardest part was getting the old spring out as on my model the spring was attached to a plastic tab (which broke on one side). Luckily, the replacement spring has the the (now shortened) metal tab that fit into a slot perfectly.

Bosch dishwasher door springs better than original
The replacement springs for my Bosch dishwasher were more than exactly right...they incorporated upgrades and improvements and were better than the original which had broken. They were easy to install and the whole job was completed in less than 20 minutes for both springs. I am a DIY homeowner.

Dish Washer Spring replacement
After pulling out the dishwasher I could see that the cord connecting the spring had snapped. With the door closed unhook the plastic piece by pulling on the core a few inches from the spring. You can then get a screw driver behind the spring to pry it out. Put the screw driver in behind the spring entering from where the cord attaches for the full length of the spring and pry forward. The new part goes in by inserting the flat metal part at the end of the spring into the slot where the old spring came out. Attach the cords to the spring and pull on the cord to take up enough slack to hook the plastic piece on. Do this on both sides and you are done.
