Simple to install
My wife said that this was the easiest fix yet. The new spring fit into a groove that was already there. With a couple of taps with a hammer and the plate was seated. Recommend attaching the cable to the spring prior to installing the spring, but it is easy enough to attach even if you do not.

Easier than I expected!
I was expecting this to be rather involved, but it turned out not so bad. The DW had to be uninstalled and laid on its back, but that wasn't too difficult.

An improvement on original part. Easy to install once machine is opened, but opening the machine was not easy at all for my built in.

Relatively easy though instructions don't tell all
This is a relatively easy install. Once you pull the unit out, the springs are very visible on the lower sides. Frankly, this is the configuration that appears should have been the original construction vs relying on the plastic parts to hold the spring they did before. Do one side at a time. Takes longer to pull dishwasher out and put it back than to do the springs. Only trick is the instructions aren't specific about how to feed the plastic grommet into the spring head. You need to put the string inside the red spring head and pull straight down until plastic touches the metal and then rotate the plastic part into the spring head. You can't just 'snap' it in, as there are ears on the part for strength and to keep it from popping out after installation! Put the back in first and use pliers to attach to the door, not the other way around as the spring is ALWAYS under tension.

Worked Perfectly!
I ordered this part for a Bosch dishwasher (model: SHX68T55UC/02). The part was easy to install and was a much better design than the original part which failed on the left side. I replaced both springs as recommended and it has worked like a champ so far!

It worked!
The part was not an exact fit for my Thermadore washer as the tabs on the spring stuck out slightly. Sawed the tabs off with a hacksaw and fit great. Replacing was pretty easy. Hardest part was getting the old spring out as on my model the spring was attached to a plastic tab (which broke on one side). Luckily, the replacement spring has the the (now shortened) metal tab that fit into a slot perfectly.

Bosch dishwasher door springs better than original
The replacement springs for my Bosch dishwasher were more than exactly right...they incorporated upgrades and improvements and were better than the original which had broken. They were easy to install and the whole job was completed in less than 20 minutes for both springs. I am a DIY homeowner.
