Dishes not drying
Easy install even after pulling out dishwasher Laying on its back just plug in and reinstall the appliance. Fixed my drying issues.

Easy to install part.
I replaced thermostat and the heating element as a set just to be safe.No way to get a multimeter test unless unit is pulled,then if its bad and you don't have it. You have to reinstall unit, order the part,when it comes in pull it out again and you see what I mean.In this case the old thermostat had good reading.I lost on that one.But what if was bad?Which would be the worst depends on how much your time is worth.

Easy installation
Bracket that holds thermostat has 2 notches which fit into slot on housing. Lift up bracket from door side, slip bracket up out of notch, push towards back of dishwasher and thermostat housing will be exposed for removal.

Not always the problem
For those who have a water heating or high temp drying problem most diy help points you to the heating element, high temp thermostat or the main control modual. Tried all suggested test with no luck. Everything tested good but still no hot water / heat. After much research found that a thermistor can cause a heat problem. In my Kenmore Elite model there is a part that mounts into the side of the well near the filter you can clean. This part is a combined thermistor and turbitiy monitor / control. It checks turbitiy via optics and the thermistor ties into the heating cycle. This part sits in water 24/7 and is subject to heat cycle extreems. It is made of plastic and mine developed a slow leak over a few years of use. The leak corroded the circuit board thus no heat. Easy and not expensive to replace. Good dishwasher but poor engineered part.

Works as expected
Change out was easy enough. No need to move dw as you can access through front panel. Before swapping units try running diagnostic cycle. Heat dry/cancel heat dry/cancel.
