Good Price, Easier Than Expected Install

As this was an expensive part for my DIY repair. I am weekend warrier type fixer and am aware of my limitations. Given the replacement part cost and the fact that there is very little on the internet showing our 10 year old Kitchenaide hood/motor replacement I was very nervous. I pulled the old malfunctioning fan and when the replacement part from Sears arrived was happy they matched exactly. I only had to remove the 3 filters and a stainless steel frame to fully gain access to the fan/motor housing and connection. An easy disconnect and the ONLY two screws on the bottom of the old fan/motor housing attached to the hood frame. Cleaned out the area of grease/dirt before pushing the round exhaust port of the new fan into the vertical duct. Held it in place (maybe another person helping will be easier) while I put both housing screws in place. Attached the wiring harness and replaced the green ground wire. Worked perfectly. Fairly easy to install and Sears Parts had the best price around for this older replacement piece.
