Fairly quick and easy replacement.
Strike on Kenmore washer was broken. Bought replacement from Sears Partsdirect. After replacing this broken part, door still would not latch. Worked with a parts specialist on line and ordered the Washer Door Lock. I was directed to a video for installation that involved dismantling the entire washer cabinet. Found another video for a much simpler procedure. Replacement went very smoothly.

Fit perfectly, easy to plug in.
Had to order this after lock latch broke. Would recommend buying both parts at same time. The latch damages the locking mechanism when it breaks. Also recommend buying new metal ring and the stretch tool to put ring back on. That took over 2 hrs to get on after 15 minute job of lock and latch.

The ordering process was difficult, the putting part in was difficult and returning part was a mess and was charged for it when i was told i wouldn't be. So they owe me $17. Ended up goung somewhere else and buying a new machine.
