Engine Purrs Like a Cat
Take your time with the installation. I buttoned up every after I completed my major overhaul of my Sears RET1000 30Ó tractor mower and started it up. It started on the first crank and after the engine warmed up it ran smoothly like it was a brand new mower. The only gripe I have from the shipper is that the packaging of my carburetor was insufficient to protect it from being seriously damaged during transport. Not enough cushion in packaging to protect my merchandise. Other than that I was very happy with the carburetor and the fast shipping from Sears Direct.

Replaced Carburetor, fuel and air filter.
OEM carburetor had the fuel shut solenoid on the side at 90 degree angle. The new carb. is downward. No problem. Remove the mounting studs and install carburetor. No gaskets come with the new carb. So order new gaskets. Riding mower starts and run like new car. Thanks HiPower151

Installation pretty easy...
Total time to remove old carb and replace with new was about 1 hr. I'm pretty mechanically inclined, but not with lawn mower engines. The best part was when I turned the key and she fired right up! Running like a brand new mower and I'm telling a difference in the amount of gas I'm now using (less).
