Good so far

Replaced the original agitator and support rods in our 16-year-old machine because we were experiencing excessive wobble of the basket in the spin cycle. The old agitator had a little looseness, both within the agitator and in its attachment to the underlying cup - potentially contributing to the wobble. After these replacements, the spin cycle is noticably smoother.

Don't waste your money on this machine.

The agitators were badly designed. We've bought about 12 of them in 4 or 5 years of using the machine. GE will no longer get any of our business. We had them haul the flawed design (agitator) GE washer away when they delivered a brand new Maytag. Smile. A very simple and sturdy agitator design that looks like it will stand up to years of service. Clothes in the new Maytag washer come out much cleaner than the poorly designed GE. GE supposedly redesigned these faulty agitators in their machine, but the plastic flaps that are supposed to agitate did nothing but bend and then break. The longest one of the agitators lasted was about 3 months. We would continue to use the very poorly and cheaply designed agitator, until the last of the 4 agitator arms broke off and the use a new one. We would order two at a time of the agitators. You have the records. Look up how many we've bought since we place our first for one of the flawed designed agitators. The replacement costs of the agitator equaled the cost of the machine over a few years time and when the timer and or pump also broke, and we were told almost 150 to have the parts sent, we decided to never ever ever use another GE product for the rest of our lives. Shame on GE for not redesigning these agitators as they new they were cheaply made, probably in china,and never decided to fix or address the issue. When this particular agitator is ordered by everyone who owns one of these machines, they chose to sell more parts instead of fixing the problem. I feel that GE should pay us back for all of the faulty agitators that were sold to us ( a few hundred dollars worth of the same faulty designed flimsy, cheap molded plastic. Now I get to tell everyone I know why they should never buy any GE product ever. I will do so for many years as I do not forget. If you want to restore our faith in your company, send us a check for every agitators we've bought. You have the records of how many of these horrible agitators we've purchased and the amount we've spent. I however will not hold my breath on this however, but we can hope.
