Washer Drive Shaft and Shifter Assembly AEN73131403

Part was a perfect fit. Pretty easy to replace. Getting to it was the most annoying part really. But aside from one or two bolts. They did a really good design on the unit as far as accessibility is concerned. You need a 38mm socket and an impact drill to get that bad boy off. I cant imagine trying to get it off by hand although I'm sure it's possible.

Fits my Kenmore Elite washer. But shipping cost was expensive. You'll need a 38mm Nut Socket.

A new washer costs over $1000, the repairman costs hundreds to just show up. With YouTube as a guide most DIY’ers can do this repair. The only special tool you may not have is an impact drill to remove the nut that holds the drum in. Borrow one or go to HarborFreight. Even after buying the impact drill I was still in for less than $250.
