This anode rod (part number 9003892005) is for water heaters.
Anode rod 9003892005 attracts and neutralizes corrosive particles found in water to help extend the life of the water heater tank.
Disconnect electrical power to the water heater, turn off the water supply and drain the tank before installing this part. Wear work gloves to protect your hands.

Easy to install, good packaging
Since I had the previous one out to check it, the new one was easy to install. Water heater hole on outer shell interfered with socket wrench some.

Part appeared to be a direct fit yet is generic
I ordered a replacement anode rod for my water heater using the model and serial number. The part appeared to be an exact figment part online. However, the part which arrived came without any instructions and is either the wrong part or a generic part needing modification to fit properly.
