They reengineered the part and eliminated the sleeve that goes around the spindle, it will work but it will not provide the shim between the spindle and the housing!

Washer for Spindle

The replacing of washers are fairly easy providing one has the proper tools to remove the snap rings to spindle and for most people I would say time wise can be in as simple as 10 minutes and even taken it slow it can be done within 30 minutes .

Shipping Inadequate

I ordered 5 lawn tractor parts and 4 were washers and they all came in separate shipping packages on different days. Which is very inefficient and costly to you and me. Between the first and last package they arrived within 5 days of each other.
