Pump and motor assembly WPW10605057 is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part that fits some dishwashers in these series: Whirlpool 7WD, WDF and WDT, Ikea IUD; Jenn-Air JDB; and KitchenAid KDFE and KDTE.

Pump and motor assembly WPW10605057 pumps water through the spray arms during the dishwashing cycle; the assembly includes the diverter motor that controls the flow of water to the spray arms.

If the pump doesn't circulate water through the spray arms and the pump wiring connections aren't loose, measure resistance through the pump motor using a multimeter. Replace the pump and motor assembly if the meter measures infinite resistance (meter should measure between 5 and 15 ohms).

Perfect Part

Perfect part I needed. I was having issues with the spray arms not working. After trouble shooting the diverter motor (it worked) I was able to determine that the circulation pump wasn't working. This part was cheaper and less labor intensive than trying to replace just the pump. Essentially, once you replace this assembly, you have basically a brand new dishwasher. It'd be nice if a $1000 appliance didn't have this critical part fail after 3 or 4 years, like so many others have already mentioned, but at least trouble shooting and replacing was fairly straightforward.

Working replacement for KitchenAid DW

Installed the part about 2 weeks ago. Issue I had was the DW was leaking from underneath the pump. This unit includes all the pumps and motors; and fixed my issue. Make sure to lubricate the gasket with rinse aid or dish soap to help fit. All fixed and no issues.

Very simple to install. I needed a phillips screwdriver, a small straight screwdriver to get electrical connections apart and a pair of pliers for the hose clamp. My wife could have done the job!

Took some maneuvering

Flipped dishwasher over, removed all the cables and the 3 main tabs. Pushed out the whole assembly to remove it. When installing the new assembly, I found it a bit trick as you needed to line the pine up in the little metal cutout. It took quite a bit of effort to seat the new assembly with the rubber gasket. After about 20 minutes of lining it just right, it took a little effort to turn the 3 knobs that secured the assembly into place. Once that was in, all was needed was to reconnect the wires.
