Door latch and switch DD81-01629A is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part that fits some Samsung DW80-series dishwashers.
Door latch and switch DD81-01629A holds the dishwasher door shut and includes the door switch.
The door switch detects when the door is closed so the dishwasher can start.
Unplug the dishwasher and remove the T20 Torx screws from the inner door panel, and then separate the inner and outer door panels to access the door switch.

Dishwasher locking switch
The locking device was simple to install once I purchased the right tool. My biggest problem was locating the device, after getting the model number and part.
